How-To

The AB-STRAPP exercise guide

Whether at the gym, completing a home workout, or travelling, ensure you are working out on a suitable surface. With the middle fold of the AB-STRAPP flat against the back of your head, grip both the ends. Hold the band taut so the weight of your head is supported and your spine is in neutral alignment, then engage your core muscles to perform the exercise safely, letting the AB-STRAPP take the strain. You can adjust your grip to increase or decrease the exercise intensity.

BICYCLES

Lie on your back whilst holding the AB-STRAPP in position to support your head. Engage your abs and raise your legs just off the floor. Alternate cycling your knees into the centre of your body while keeping the other leg outstretched, rotating the opposite side of your torso slightly to mirror the movement. Keep your head supported and neck relaxed throughout the exercise.

SCISSORS

Lie on your back with the AB-STRAPP supporting your head. Engage your abs, pressing your lower back into the floor, then raise both legs slightly so they are hovering just above the ground. Keeping your legs straight, alternate criss-crossing your legs one over the other in a 'scissor' movement, making sure to keep your core engaged and your back pressed into the floor throughout.

LEG RAISES

Similar to the scissors move, lie on the floor with your legs straight and the AB-STRAPP supporting your head. Engage your core, again pressing your lower back into the floor. In a controlled motion raise both of your legs simultaneously until perpendicular to the floor. Hold for a beat, then slowly lower your legs to the floor whilst keeping your abs engaged to control the movement.
